Purchased in memory of Marcia Goodman, first librarian of the History of Science Collections., Italian translation of the original Spanish edition of 1638, entitled Prodigioso volcan de fuego, que exhala en medio del mar Oceanom enfrente de la Isla San Miguel, una de las Terceras, y nueva Isla que ha formado. Tuvo principio en tres de Iulio deste presente año de 1638., Describes the appearance of a submarine volcano in the Açores, which was preceded by tremors, and resulted in the death of large numbers of fish.
