Autograph letter signed, written from Down House, Feb. 22 [1870-1] to Robert Garner, thanking him for sending 'the hybrid gathered from a place to which I am so much attached as Maer.'
This letter has been dated by the Darwin Correspondence Project to be February 22 [1870-1] because of the printed stationary. Charles Darwin only crossed out ‘Bromley’ and wrote in ‘Beckenham' from April 3, 1869 until May 10, 1871 when he started using printed stationary with Beckenham instead., Bound In: Garner, Robert.
